Fuss Free, On The Go, Mom Dressing

As a mother constantly running behind a toddler, I've come to realise there is nothing more important for me than comfortable dressing. But that doesn't mean that I'm in a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie (however trendy athleisure may be) all the time. I cannot compromise my style quotient but at the same time I can't wear tight fitted clothes that restrict my movement.

I've been in Colombo accompanying the husband on a work trip for over a week now. When the husband is at work, Rania and I are usually out and about. Being an extremely active baby, I am mostly chasing after her so she doesn't wander off somewhere/put pebbles in her mouth/covering herself in mud etc. Thankfully, before the trip, I invested in some key pieces of clothing that were a perfect balance of stylish and comfy. In the product page below, you'll find some really playful shirts that make a statement without having to do much. I've grown tired of wearing the plain button down shirt (despite having plenty in my wardrobe) and have been opting for ones that come with ruffles and big sleeves. Furthermore, these options are great for anyone who in on the go. None of these pieces require much thought. It's literally putting it on and heading for the door whilst looking fabulous.

1. Zara Striped Poplin Blouse With Frills - As I mentioned above, I've been looking for fun shirts with lots of ruffled detailing. This one is is just perfect because it's a slightly looser fit so you don't really feel stuffed in it and who doesn't love poplin once the weather starts heating up.

2. H&M Straight Cropped Regular Jeans - I have literally been living in this pair of jeans. I swapped my favourite 7 For All Mankind Roxanne skinnys for this high waisted, straight cut pair. I love the ankle length, and raw hemmed edges and honestly, they're actually the most comfy jeans I've ever worn. Finally, in the heat, skinny fits just end up sticking to your body making them so annoying. This pair works great when the temperatures are rising and you still want to wear your jeans.

3. Zara Checked Trousers With Darts - I've been going through a cropped phase when it comes to my bottoms. I like everything to flail about my ankles. Anyways, if you're in a more formal mood, then these  fit the bill. They look really trendy and can be paired with anything; A tank, a formal blouse or even one of those oversized, masculine shirts.

4. Zara Printed Top With Bow Sleeves - If ruffles isn't your thing, then perhaps this shirt with red stripes, printed birds and bows on the sleeves might just do the trick.

5. H&M Frilled Blouse - A whimsical take on the classic white shirt, this one is definitely a piece I'm going to pick up for my wardrobe. Plus, everyone knows I have a serious white shirt obsession.

6. Gucci Pricetown Slides - I'm yet to come across a pair of flat slip ons that completely transform a look the way these do. I've already got two and I have been eyeing the red one to add to my collection. The best part is they look amazing with everything. Fashion week, cocktail party, errands, lunches, dinners; mine have accompanied me everywhere. I literally can't live without them!

7. Kenzo Kombo Bucket Bag - So I've come to conclusion that when I'm out and about with Rania, it's best to take a bag that is reasonably priced and not high maintenance like most of my other purses.  I have a Kombo bucket bag too that I bought two years ago, and what I love best about it is how I can carry it cross body and be completely hands free. Furthermore, this bag is not all leather so I don't need to freak out if it gets a little dirty. The one from their new collection has iconic Kenzo eye all over the front so it's really cool.

8. Zara Fabric Sling Back Shoes - If you're on a tight budget, then these Zara shoes can sort you out for now.

9. Saint Laurent Paris Monogram Earrings - I have a thing for statement jewellery. If I'm wearing a simple outfit, I make sure that it's accessorised appropriately so I don't look too basic. These earrings were seen on the SS17 runway show and created a major buzz. I can't even begin to imagine how these would transform even the most simplest looks. Tie your hair up for maximum impact.

I am going to post some photos of me so you can see how effortless some of these pieces are. If you're running short on time, then a few fabulous shirts just what you need in your closet. Oh and these mom jeans wouldn't hurt either. I'm so over skinny jeans!!! Also, if you like the white shirt I'm wearing, its also from Zara. It was just way too white and wasn't translating well on the product page. But it's a fabulous top. Leg'O'Mutton sleeves, a high collar and an oversized fit. Check it out at the store if you like it.

A Mint Green Kurta & Gold Gharara

For day 1 of India Couture Week, I was super excited to wear my Raw Mango by Sanjay Garg outfit. My mom had bought this for me a few months ago, but I wore it for the first time at couture week. It was the simplest ensemble but it was super chic. The mint green silk kurta had the tiny round gold specs embroidered all over it and a little keyhole at the back where the button was. It came with a gorgeous bright gold and green ghrarara which looked so pretty and feminine under the kurta. The best part was how comfortable the whole outfit was. I could have worn this all day long. Sanjay Garg has just got himself a new fan! As always, you know how much I love to accessorise so I decided to wear a heavily embellished headband to make a statement and chose a fun, transparent perspex clutch with an ornate gold dragon on the clasp.

Bag Review - JW Anderson's Pierce Bag

It's been a while since I did a bag review on the blog. I hadn't come across a bag that drove me absolutely nuts and made me feel like I absolutely had to have it. However, with J.W.Anderson's Pierce bag, I have found 'the one' for now! I'm a huge fan of him and love his work not only for his own label but for LOEWE as well and when he released the Puzzle bag for LOEWE, I knew that J.W.Anderson knows how to make an IT bag. So, no surprises there when I fell hard for the Pierce bag from his namesake label and it's crazy cool detailing.

Simple, chic and classic by design, the bag is crafted from supple and luxurious calfskin and comes in three different sizes; Small, medium and large. Whilst the small one is good for people who don't carry much around on any given day, I'm more attracted to the latter two sizes. The medium is more of a shoulder bag, whereas the large is more utilitarian chic as it can be worn as a satchel.  However, both these come with detachable shoulder straps so you can hold them like an oversized clutch thereby transitioning easily from day to night. The three gussets ensure there's enough room to hold all your daily essentials. The real cherry on top is the punk inspired gold ring on the front flap in between two cut out circles reminiscent of a piercing. It gives a classic bag a real cool and cultural twist. Some versions come with suede on the front and calfskin on the back and I'm drooling over the large version in military green.

Finally, the price is also extremely attractive. Whilst most luxury bags now start at a minimum of USD 2,000, this one is relatively more affordable with the large one starting at USD 1390 on Matchesfashion (shipping to Dubai of course since the duty is on 5 per cent ).

Desi Snob X Rock'n'Shop

Just about two weeks ago, I collaborated with the fabulous e-commerce platform Rock'n'Shop for an amazing shoot where I talk about how to take care of your Celine purses. Naturally, I was all glammed up by their lovely stylist Puja who had created a bunch of looks for me. And because I loved my outfit (especially the first one) so much, I thought I should talk about it on the blog.

The first look she curated for me, a monochrome outfit from Bodice by Ruchika Sachdeva, couldn't have been more apt for the summer. I had been wanting to wear Ruchika Sachdeva's clothes for a while so I jumped in excitment when Puja sent me my list of looks. A beautiful cotton silk shirt with an uneven pleated hem paired with black denim culottes was not only very chic, but extremely comfortable and easy to move around in. In my previous post, I have talked about why a few pairs of culottes are a must have for the summer and this one in particular tops my list. The shirt was the kinds you slip on and had a loose silhouette so it wasn't sticking to my skin which was great. I also adored how flirty the hem was. It made the outfit slightly less formal and added a playful touch to it. When wearing neutral coloured clothes, it's important to add a pop of colour through accessories, so this bi-colour Cabas tote from Celine which has been a favourite for a while was an obvious choice. This look can easily transition from day to night by further accessorising making it an important investment for your closet. Shop the look below.

Gucci X Net-A-Porter

For a while now, I had been getting push notifications on my phone from the net-a-porter app about a special, 20 piece capsule collection Gucci was doing for the popular online shopping portal. Today, I sat down and finally checked it out. Albeit a little late in the day (it went live on the 12th of May) as most of the stuff is sold out especially the bags,  I still got a glimpse of what this special collection was all about. And it is exquisite. Alessandro Michele played around with floral motifs inspired from vintage tapestries, and released some fresh reinterpretations of the Dionysus bag, Ace sneakers along with some super fun ready to wear. If you have been converted into a Gucci girl in the last one year like I have, then a piece of this collection is a must have for your closet. Here are some of my favourites.

1. Floral Appliqued Wool Blend Skirt - Ever since I saw Kangana Ranaut wearing one of their pleated mini skirts, I was instantly a fan. Very kilt like in appearance, with flirty pleats, this blue piece is too pretty not to have. The little embroidered flower and the striped waist band add the perfect finishing touch. Click here to purchase.

2. Adonis Floral Print Silk Twill Scarf - If your savings account is on the lower side and you still want a piece of the action, then this scarf is exactly what you need. Featuring beautiful romantic florals and the signature stripes on the border, the scarf will be the focal point of any outfit. Pair it with a simple silhouette so it can stand out. Click here to purchase.

3. Horsebit Detailed Floral Print Canvas Slippers - The Princetown slippers have been quite the rage since they were launched. Especially in the fur variation. Comfortable, stylish and easy to slip on, at least one pair of these are an important addition to your closet for those days where heels aren't your friends. However, more than the fur ones, I like this pair the most! The vintage tapestry inspired roses, the horsebit and the quirky mouth printed on the inside of the shoe all make this a serious MUST HAVE! Click here to purchase.

4. Embellished Wool Sweater - There's nothing better than a well fitted, statement sweater that can be paired with virtually anything. Click here to be added to the wish list.

Minimalist Handbags You Need Right Now

There's something about minimalist handbags that never goes out of style. Clean cut and simple designs, paired with classic shapes and masterful craftsmanship make these purses eye catching without screaming 'look at me' in an obvious way. Here are my current favourites.

1. Mansur Gavriel Circle Leather Tote - Rachel and Floriana are always ahead of the minimalist game. Their design aesthetic has been highly successful resulting in sold out bags since they started their brand. Currently, I am absolutely in love with this circular bag. This piece is so contemporary but also takes you back in time reminding you of those hat boxes ladies would travel with. I remember, growing up I was crazy about the Louis Vuitton hat boxes and always wondered how I could carry one as a purse! Click here to purchase.

2. Victoria Beckham Half Moon Bag - First seen in a giant version on her SS16 runway, this baby is chic as hell. Be gone with you teeny tiny bags that can only hold my credit card and keys! Just kidding, there's a time and place for every purse. Moving on, the name itself makes me want to click 'purchase now' because it sounds so mystical. Virtually hardware free, this baby is nice and light to carry and also comes with a detachable suede pouch (BONUS!!). The best part is its shape which means you can carry it for a long time to come. Click here to purchase.

3. Celine Trotteur Bag In Calfskin - Ah, can one ever go wrong with a Celine? I was just about to start saving for a Mini Belt, but since I've discovered this, looks like my priorities might change. Sleek, slightly structured and lightweight, this timeless bag can transition easily from day to night. It comes with a unique, geometrically shaped clasp that stands out beautifully. And being a sucker for grained leather, it's texture really gets my heart racing. A zipper on the back of the bag make it easy to organise your immediate essentials. Click here to purchase.

4. Vitasta Mini Backpack In Tan - I've never featured an Indian handbag designer on my blog, but after seeing Aditi Dhar's designs, I have every reason to! This backpack really caught my attention due to its super slick design and the detailing. Both the geometrical flaps exude a futuristic vibe whereas the braided drawstring and woven grommets add a warm touch. Entirely handmade, this back is what understated luxury really is all about. Bag Review - Gucci Dionysus Top Handle Bag

Named as one of Fall 2015's hottest bags, the Dionysus took the fashion flock by a storm. In various versions like full suede, suede and canvas or heavily embellished, this has been one of the most coveted bags since its release. For the coming season, the Dionysus has been given an update making it even cooler. The new version comes with the iconic bamboo top handle which was a brilliant way to incorporate more of the house's codes into the purse. It adds a very classic touch.

Instead of chain shoulder straps, this variation comes with two interchangeable straps; one in leather and one in nylon featuring the signature Gucci stripes. Both have two stars on them adding a bit of an edge. I like this option. If you feel like it's a classic and formal kind of day, put on the leather one, if you're in a fun mood, change it to the nylon one. Wear it cross body, sling on the shoulder or take of the straps off and hold it by the top handle. So many ways to carry it make it a very versatile piece.

The Dionysus top handle comes in two variations: In black with red and green stripes or full red. My heart beats faster with the striped one though. It's just so fresh and playful. P.S. Beyoncé has this one too. In terms of space, the bag is in a large size (W34 x H23.5 x D12) so it's pretty spacious. Other features like the hand-stitching, hand painted edges and the push lock closure remain the same.

I have a feeling this year is going to be all about Gucci for me. I haven't seen one bag that I didn't like since Alessandro Michele took over.

Bag Review - Gucci GG Marmont Leather Shoulder Bag

Oh boy, have I been dying to discuss this bag on the blog since I bought it a few weeks ago. From the second I saw it online, I knew it was something really special. However, I wasn't sure till I checked it out at the boutique. After which I had my bag fund ready for the purchase!

Featuring a saddle shape, the bag is light, effortless and easy to wear. Since having a baby, practicality has become my number one priority. Last month, I started using my Givenchy Antigona bag again whilst taking Rania out and it turned out to be more of a nuisance than anything else. Imagine trying to juggle a toddler, a pram, a baby bag and then a giant purse! The Gucci on the other hand is much more comfortable. I swapped it for the Givenchy and the Bulgari for the rest of my stay and even used it at the airport on my way back to Delhi.

Crafted from the most luxurious, soft and grained leather, the bag's charm lies in all the  detailing it comes with. My favourite part is the antique gold hardware. The oversized GG, the tiger head and the rings that hold the shoulder strap make a strong statement. Whereas the subtle top stitching exudes understated luxury. Space wise, I have successfully filled it with an ipad mini (for Rania to watch nursery rhymes on the flight!), wallet, keys, passport and a little bit of make up. On another occasion I managed to fit my sunglasses case too. So I would say it's good enough to hold your immediate essentials which is great. That way one doesn't feel the need to keep dumping extra nonsense (guilty as charged). It features a flap closure with a push-lock system so it's relatively easy to open and close. It comes with one internal zip pocket and two small phone pockets. The belt like shoulder strap is adjustable so you can wear it in various lengths. This model comes in three different colours: Black, brown and red. Whilst the former two colours are classic, the red is just stunning to look at and is the one I bought.

Speaking of buying, I did a lot of research as to where the bag was the cheapest. After making a bunch of international calls, turns out, the London Heathrow boutique has the best price. And I have to add, the staff there was so helpful. They reserved the bag for me a week before my friend was due to fly out. All I had to do was give them her contact information and flight time. Here is a list of prices to save you all the hassle!

India - INR 161,000
United States - USD 2,590 (brown colour is cheaper I think)
London - GBP 1510 (you can claim your VAT at the airport)
London Heathrow - GBP 1250
France - EUR 1980 (you can claim your tax refund)
Dubai - AED 9,100

Bag Review - Fendi Dotcom Bag

The peeps over at Fendi seriously know what it takes to make IT bags and handbag accessories. Churning out hit after hit with their 2jours, Peek-a-Boos, By The Way, bag bugs, Karlito and bulb bag charms, the Dotcom is another one that is going to quickly attain the IT bag status.

I got to play around with it and shoot with it and it is absolutely beautiful. The second I pulled it out of the dust bag, I was in love. The shape is so modern and streamlined yet timeless, meaning you can wear it for a few years at least. The size is perfect for a day bag and it has two zipped compartments which is so clever as it makes it much easier to organise your belongings. Crafted out of thick leather, it's quite sturdy and structured which means the bag is slightly heavy but not too heavy that it hurts your shoulders. What makes this bag truly eye catching and unique is one small detail. A little hole that plays peek-a-boo with a detachable flat pouch in a contrasting colour featuring a gunmetal conical stud that holds the pouch into place. An added bonus...you can use the pouch as a clutch! The Dotcom comes in various colours but my absolutely favourite is the one in light blue with a dark blue pouch and the dove grey with red.

Although it comes with a detachable shoulder strap, I strongly recommend you buy one of their super cool interchangeable straps which come in various colour options to play dress up! Their "Strap You" straps are so fun and you can get so much use out of them as they can be attached to any other bag too. This bag is very high on my 2016 wish list and honestly, the price isn't all that bad either. With most bags costing over 2,000 dollars, the Dotcom is for 2,400 USD on Fendi.com which is pretty neat considering you'll be using it for a years. Check it out at the DLF Emporio boutique.

Top Denim Bags - The 90's Are Back!!

Remember the 90's? When denim overalls, denim jackets, and pretty much everything denim everything was so hot... Well, this spring is no different. Denim was one of the strongest trends seen on the SS16 runways. At McQueen there were embroidered jean jackets, at Saint Laurent it was patchwork, at Versus and Chanel, jeans and denim dresses were printed. It's like reliving the 90's all over again except the clothes are way cooler now! The best part is, it's not just limited to the ready to wear. Denim purses too are having a major moment. Classic designs like Stella McCartney's Falabella tote or Tom Ford's Natalia bag have been given some super cool updates to fit right in with this season's hottest trends. Here are my top 5 bags you need to get your hands on!

1. Tom Ford Natalia Medium Leather-Trimmed Denim Shoulder Bag - This has always been one of my favourite Tom Ford bags. The signature oversized lock which is usually gold comes in gunmetal for this denim version. and it's pretty hot. Love! Click here to purchase.

2. Roger Vivier Flower Embroidered Denim Clutch - How cute is this little one? These embroidered daisies just give off such a carefree and happy vibe. Makes me want to take the clutch dancing almost immediately. Click here to purchase.

3. Chanel Embroidered Denim Large Flap Bag - This purse is without a doubt the number one on my list. Chanel perfume bottles and perfume names like Allure and No.5 are embroidered on this denim bag and I've fallen hard. I've already inquired at the Dubai boutique about it's arrival (February). Here's the item code in case you want to check with them in Delhi. A91102 Y60445 2B313

4. Stella McCartney Falabella Mini Embroidered Denim Bag - Stella McCartney's classic Falabella gets a very feminine update with dainty yellow flowers on soft, powder blue denim. Very pretty don't you think? Click here to purchase.

5. Valentino My Rockstud Embellished Denim Shoulder Bag - Nothing says spring more than butterflies. The cheerful colours instantly lift my spirits on a foggy and nippy Delhi afternoon. I love the size of this bag because it's big enough for the day and not too big to take out to dinner. Click here to purchase.

Bag Review - Gucci Padlock Shoulder Bag

For a while now I had been off Gucci handbags because I just couldn't find anything I was head over heels in love with. To me, when it comes to handbags, I have to either love it at first sight or nothing at all. There are no grey areas. And then suddenly there's Alessandro Michele and everything changes. Apart from the insanely covetable ready to wear, there are all these new bags popping out. And just like that, you're spoilt for choice. Should I buy the GG Marmont with the tiger head on top or the Dionysus with bead embroidery and it's signature tiger spur closure, or this box like padlock shoulder bag from the Gucci Tian collection? It's like bag heaven!!

However, for now, let's discuss the Tian padlock. First up, in case you haven't noticed, box bags have become quite the rage off late. And the best part is that they are no longer reserved for evening wear. Now, you can pair a structured box bag with virtually everything. Sneakers and jeans, day dresses, leather pants and so on.

The padlock shoulder bag series come with the signature Gucci key lock closure as seen on the brand's trunks which makes it a lovely combination of the past and the present The chunky chain strap can be worn in multiple ways making it very versatile. I like that the lock and chain strap are bulky and slightly blingy. There's something about a little bit of bling that gets me all excited. But what I really adore about this specific model is the cheerful floral prints inspired by Chinese landscapes seen on 18th century tapestries. The colourful prints on a neutral base mean you can pair the bag with any colour. The bag also comes in various other colour options and some with embroidery too, so check it out at the nearest Gucci boutique.

P.S. if you're planning on waiting for a sale to buy this bag, you can forget it. None of the Alessandro Michele stuff is going on sale for a while. Dammit, that means I need to start saving up to pay full retail for the cross over sandals from their cruise collection! #heartbreak

Currently Trending: Anya Hindmarch Georgiana Stickers Printed Leather Clutch

The last few days have had me spending a lot of time on my favourite online shopping sites. Why you ask? Well, lets see, I give birth in about 22 days and I spend sleepless nights freaking out about the whole labour process! Online window shopping offers some sort of respite. Who doesn't love being in fantasy land filled with gorgeous handbags?!!

Anyways, as I was browsing LuisaViaRoma, I came across the coolest Anya Hindmarch piece. This quirky Georgiana Stickers clutch. The first thing that came to mind was my sticker album when I was a little girl! In white leather, with a burst of colours from the luxurious, leather stickers and a suede lining, I have a feeling this is going to be seen on every IT girl's arm come fashion week. This new creation comes as a result of a collaboration between Charlotte Stockdale of Chaos Fashion. You can go on to the website and order whatever you like from the super fun, interactive sticker shop. My favourites were the egg, the wink and the band aids. Use them to personalise your bag, phone or even your notebook. They even have letters so you can spell out your name if you want too. I love both, the clutch and the stickers! Hubby are you reading this?

Net-a-Porter Sale - Grab Em Whilst They're Hot!!

There are so many reasons to rejoice at this time of the year; amazing weather, cheerful holiday spirit, the end of the year and of course, the end of season sales. For me, it's a time to shop for accessories/jewellery and bags that I wouldn't ever pay full retail price for. Here are a few things I've got my eye on from the net-a-porter sale!

 1. Dolce & Gabbana Bianca Sandals - Forget Cinderella's glass shoes, these Dolce & Gabbana shoes are what you need! Featuring a block heel covered in leather and shiny crystals, you've got yourself the perfect pair of dancing shoes. Click here to purchase.

2. Etro + V&A Clip Earrings - If you've been waiting for earrings from the limited edition/online exclusive V&A collection to celebrate the Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014 exhibition now's your chance! These super pretty Etro earrings with lots of mini gold tone hoops and baby blue stones are so chic and can work from day to night. Click here to purchase.

3. Maison Martin Margiela Sunglasses Necklace - Trust Maison Martin Margiela to create such a cool accessory. The second I saw it, I was in love. It's so quirky and it would be a crime not to own it! Wear it with a strapless silhouette or over a crisp, white shirt for maximum impact. Click here to purchase.

4. Stella McCartney Beckett Holographic Tote - As much as I love Stella's designs, (bags and clothes) , I still can't justify paying full price for her bags since they're all faux leather. I think it's great she's doing the whole anti animal skin thing, but I feel her bag should be priced a little lower. Anyways, the Beckett shoulder bags have been spotted around town quite a bit, but I really like the holographic version of this model and more so because it's a tote. Imagine walking around town that changes colour. How fun right? Click here to purchase.

5. Shourouk Wimbledee Swarovski Crystal-Embellished Stretch Terry Wristband - Don't you think this one of the most playful takes on the tennis wristband? What a fun combination of sporty glam and hello, look at the price!! For 134 USD, I would buy this in every colour! Click here to purchase.

Top Six Must Have Backpacks - Bringing Sexy Back!

Whoever said backpacks are for school going kids can now easily take a hike! As you may have witnessed from street style photos, these babies are now equally essential to those who aren't in school anymore. Okay so I'm not talking about Chanel's 3,400 USD canvas graffiti backpack that was seen on every bigwig blogger, model and pretty much most of the fashion flock. For this fall, these bags come in various price ranges, materials and funky designs. Furthermore, as I gear up for motherhood (10 weeks to go!!) I constantly find myself worrying about how I'm going to manage a stroller, baby bag and my own handbag whilst staying fabulous at the same time. Enter backpacks! I can safely say, I now have the most trendy solution to my "getting around town with a new born" problems. I can hold the bag on both my shoulders, or casually sling it on one arm - whatever the case, here are some of the coolest rucksacks you need to invest in.

1. Alexander Wang Dumbo Textured Leather Backpack - I've always been a fan of the brand's Rocco handbag with the studded base and now to see the same on a backpack. It's like I'm smitten all over again. I absolutely adore the textured leather and the colour, well, we all know how much I love blue. Click here to purchase or check with Le Mill India for availability.

2.  Saint Laurent Paris Backpack - Whilst this may be from the label's men's collection, I didn't see any reason why girls cant wear it too. I like the black and white take on the classic leopard print along with how lightweight it is. Made from nylon with splashes of leather here and there and of course a price tag of only 895 USD, this bag is too good to give up! Click here to check it out or check at your local Kitsch boutique for availability.

3. Karl Lagerfeld K Kuilted Leather Backpack - King of narcissism, Karl Lagerfeld's quilted bag features numerous Ks (I did mention he's a narcissist) on the quilting along with a squarish shape made from soft leather. The flap closure over the drawstring ensures all your essentials are safe and I really like how the black is contrasted with a colourful interior. Although, it could do without the hefty price tag. My suggestion, as cool as the bag is, is to buy it on sale. Click here to purchase.

4. Perrin Paris Flap Backpack - Ever since I discovered Perrin Paris, I have been a huge fan. Their glove clutches are to die for! Anyways, this bag is another hit from the brand. The chocolate brown leather is soft but not slouchy and if you're a winged bag fan then the two side pockets will bode well for you. Not to mention a little extra storage space for convenience never really hurts. I also like the old school buckle used as a closure. Aren't you a fan already? Click here to purchase.

5. Elizabeth & James Cynnie Sling Leather Tassel Backpack - Don't you just love it when there's more than one way to wear a bag? I know I do! I love how you can hold it on your shoulder as a bucket bag (they're so HOT right now) or simply take the detachable strap off and use it at as a rucksack if you change your mood. The khaki green leather is perfect for the winter and the fringed tassel is so playful. Finally, at INR 37,000 you really can't go wrong. Click here to purchase.

6. Jerome Dreyfuss Leopard Print Calf Hair Backpack - This baby is just so chic with it's luxurious calf hair, the suede and chain shoulder strap and sexy leopard print. The bag features a drawstring closure and black canvas lining. Furthermore, it comes with it's own flashlight so you never need to use your iPhone light anymore! I love clever bag accessories (like the Bulgari bag raincoat that came with the bag). Oh and the shoulder straps are detachable so you can change the way you wear the bag too. Yay, more than one way to wear it! Isn't it such a cool bag? Click here to purchase.

Currently Trending: Winter Blues

One of the strongest colours seen on the fall runways (especially New York and London) was blue. From cobalt to navy to baby - for this winter, be sure to incorporate varying shades of blue in your closet! Apart from the fact that the colour is trending, there's just something about blue that has some sort of a calming effect don't you think? Kind of reminds of the Mediterranean ocean and makes me want to go on a beach vacation! Anyways, here are some of this season's must haves.

1. Zara Long Double Breasted Handmade Coat - Masculine/oversized coats are so hot for this winter, and if it's handmade, even better! Pair it with skinny pants and some funky trainers to look bang on trend. Check it out at your local Zara boutique.

2. Nike Internationalist Suede & Nylon Sneakers - As I get bigger and bigger in my pregnancy, my eyes are immediately drawn to funky trainers. In varying shades of blue and a dash of pink, these pretty trainers are not limited to the gym. Skirts, cropped leather pants or a mini dress; these shoes are versatile and cool enough to be paired with a lot outfits. Click here to purchase.

3. Popinjay Baracoa Zip Clutch - Entirely handmade, this clutch features silk thread embroidery (that takes 72 hours to complete) in a pattern inspired by Art Nouveau tiles. Not to mention, all products sold on Indelust are ethically sourced and manufactured. Click here to purchase.

4. Moschino Quilted Denim Hat - Hop on the logomania express with this Jeremy Scott for Moschino hat. Bold, flashy and trendy, this hat is one of the coolest accessory of the season. Click here to purchase.

5. Mansur Gavriel Bucket Bag - I've been obsessed with these Mansur Gavriel bags and am really trying hard to get my hands on one! Isn't this blue version just to die for? Unfortunately it is out of stock, but the good news is the website will be restocking them in December. Click here to stay informed about availability.

6. Illesteva Leonard Round Framed Glasses - Don't these sunnies have the funkiest shape? I love how the frame is made from black acetate and the bold blue lenses really ensure you stand out. Oh and it's made in Italy. A really unique pair! Click here to purchase.

Save The Date (And Some Money) - The Pink Post It Returns On September 6th!

Okay everyone, I'm going to tell you exactly how you're spending your Saturday afternoon. At The Pink Post It's fall trunk show taking place at The Grand in Vasant Kunj! Don't worry, not everyone needs to show up with wards of cash to shop. I love that the girls work with a great price point range starting from INR 1500 to INR 100,000 ensuring there's something in store for everyone. Furthermore, not only is this trunk show a place to shop your favourite designers which you may not find in India, but it is a fantastic platform to showcase the talent of fresh new Indian designers such as Arpita Mehta.

Also,  as Sharnnamli mentioned in her interview, the Outhouse jewellery collection from Lakme Fashion Week will be in Delhi for the first time and exclusively with TPPI. Being a sucker for statement jewellery, it is a bit sad I wont be attending the trunk show. From DVF wrap dresses to Micheal Kors bags to crop tops and pretty floral skirts by Sonal Kalra Ahuja; TPPI has become one of the best trunk shows in Delhi. Please shop some from me too whilst I'll be enjoying some Russian architecture! And above all, HAVE FUN!!

Here are some photos on what you can expect to see on Saturday.

Currently Trending: Clutches With A Bit Of A Funny Bone!

In the last few months, I've seen myself evolve with my fashion sense. For the longest time, I was the classic chic kind of girl. You know, the usual silk blouse with skinny jeans or pencil skirt, paired with a classic handbag. But off late, I've become a little bored of that, I constantly find the need to think outside the box when it comes to dressing up for an event. Of course that doesn't mean I only worry about the clothes I wear. It also means looking for some cool accessories, especially handbags. Whilst I love all my clutches dearly, I've discovered some super cool and funny clutches that I would like to share with you. Inspired by pop art, American comic books or fairy tales, the following clutches are real conversation starters and a very playful addition to your bag closet.

1. Charlotte Olympia Archie Comic Embroidered Crepe De Chine Clutch - I have always been a big fan of the designer's embroidered crepe de chine clutches and when she looks towards 1950's American comics for inspiration even more so! If you're an Archie comics lover, then this clutch is a must have. This one has Archie & Veronica both embroidered on to it. Click on the link for more images. Unfortunately, it isn't available on net-a-porter to ship to India, but you can order it to UAE if you have friends or family there. Plus it's only 5 per cent duty to order it to Dubai so you also save some money! Click here to purchase.

2. Yazbukey Pamela Belle Patent Nailpolish Clutch - Ever since I discovered Yaz Bukey jewellery last year due to Paris street style photos, I have adored her quirky designs. From her model legs and Anna Wintour necklaces to her Karl Lagerfeld brooch, the designer is always up to something funky every season (this fall is about mysterious Turkish Delights). The whimsical giant nail polish clutch featured above needs to be the focal point of your outfit. Featuring a gold tone logo plate and a patent leather back side, this is an instant head turner. Click here to purchase.

3. Anya Hindmarch Coco Pops Imperial Ayers Clutch - Alright, so this whole Anya Hindmarch X Kellog's cereal collection; you either hate it or love it. I'll be honest with you, I think it's really cool. Tongue in cheek kellog's cereal motifs on ayers snakeskin; What's there not to love? For me it has to be this coco pops clutch since I pretty much eat it everyday! Make sure you pair it with a simple outfit so the clutch pops. Click here to purchase.

4. Red Valentino Snow White Printed Red Leather Maxi Clutch - Ah, good old Snow White. Growing up, Disney's Snow White was one of my favourite cartoons and also the inspiration for Red Valentino's FW 14 collection. Fairy tale meets fashion, the ultimate fun combo (only if done right, else it can look pretty stupid). I love the patent leather applique on the headband, apple and lips. Gives it a bet of a texture. I would however, stick to the clutch as opposed to the tote as I don't want it to become too overwhelming. Click here to purchase.

I Heart Summer Sales

As you all know by now, I'm a pretty regular online shopper and have shopped from pretty much every well known e-commerce portal there is. Anyways, as always, the summer sales have started and I have started my hunt for something fabulous. My current already ordered items include this gorgeous Alexander McQueen Small Padlock Tote in snakeskin (what a fabulous deal I got on that one from the McQueen website), a pair of Kenneth Jay Lane earrings and a Moschino bracelet. I'm still not done looking for some great discounts online. Here are my top picks in handbags (as always)from the current sales.

Everyday Bags

If you've been looking for an everyday bag that won't hurt your budget too much but is stylish, durable and luxurious at the same time, then these three bags are just right for you.

1. Rochas East West Bi-Colour Tote - For a few seasons now, I have seen various colours of this Rochas tote and am still wondering why I haven't bought it yet. I love the simplicity of this model and the colour blocking. The attached leather pouch, the beige leather lining and the fact that it's made in Italy make this bag very luxurious. The best part is, the price. At 37,540 Rupees, I don't think you'll find a better investment. Click here to purchase.

2. Alexander Wang Rocco Leather Bag - Another one of my favourite bags (and a celebrity darling too) is this Alexander Wang bag especially in this minty green colour. How perfect for the summer right?! The best part about this bag is the very cool studded base. However, for a bag made in China I never felt like paying full retail for it. But if it's on sale for under 50,000 Rupees, I think it's worth every penny! The bag is repeated almost every season in various colours so it will last you a while. Click here to purchase.

3. Tod's D-Cube Small Soft Leather Tote - Tod's D-Cube series has been quite the rage this Spring. I love how the brand has totally revamped their style. I used to always think Tod's bags were quite the aunty type bags but with their Spring bags, they've completely changed my impression. This cute duffel bag is very functional and packs plenty despite its small size. It comes with minimal hardware which is perfect because the bag isn't too heavy and of course the optional shoulder strap. I've always had trouble finding the perfect bag when I'm on vacation because all my bags are so big. This one is just right. It will fit all my essentials without overwhelming me! A real must have. Click here to purchase.

Fun Clutches

Most of you know by now that I am quite the classics gal. Most of my bags and clutches are usually classic models. However, off late, I've started stepping out of my comfort zone and experimenting a little more with fun accessories. It's good to dedicate a part of your closet to accessories that are playful and eye-catching. Here are three clutches I'm currently crushing on.

1. Dolce & Gabbana Floral Brocade Cross-Body Bag - This Italian duo's prints just never tire us. Lemons, ancient pillars or the almond blossoms as seen on this clutch; I just love their prints every season. This particular round bag is just so cute. I love the luxurious brocade fabric and the gold metal chain. You can wear it with a casual outfit during the day or with your dancing shoes on at night and be hands free both times. And for 29,120 I couldn't think of a better deal! Click here to purchase.

2. Charlotte Olympia Juke Box Patent Leather Clutch - Queen of quirk Charlotte Olympia gets it right season after season. Her accessories are just so fun! I love this Archie comic inspired juke box clutch in patent leather. It's an instant conversation starter don't you think? Although it's a little flat so don't try and stuff too much inside it. Click here to purchase.

3. Burberry Polka Dot Leather & Canvas Clutch - I never thought a polka dotted clutch could have such a high impact until I saw this monochrome one from Burberry. Totally loving it. Click here to purchase.

Exotic Skin

I always feel that if you want to buy exotic skin bags, it's best to wait for the sales. Most of the bags end up going on discount unless of course they're the classic models like a Chanel 2.55, Hermes bags or the Celine amongst others. As mentioned above, I got a really good deal on my McQueen tote and there are some great discounts on various e-commerce portals. These two are the ones I really liked. Also, what I've noticed is that the best deals on exotic skin bags are from upcoming designers.

1. Sophie Hulme Spear Tab Python Cross-Body Bag - This Sophie Hulme bag features colourful python skin with 24 Carat gold plated hardware. Talk about luxury all over! The cool colours are definitely attention seeking and I'm really liking its super boxy shape. Plus the price for this exotic skinned baby is to die for. INR 40,410. Talk about fabulous. A word of caution, this bag may have shipping restrictions so either order it to a friend within the EU/UK or speak to someone online at MatchesFashion.com to assist you further.

2. Gucci Ostrich Cross-Body Satchel - Okay so I know this one isn't really a "budget" designer bag, but if you were to splurge once a year, I suggest it be on this Gucci. This beautiful ostrich skin bag in tan leather with gorgeous horsebit hardware is bound to be with you for many years to come because of the brand's impeccable craftsmanship and I speak from experience. If I hadn't already splurged, I would definitely be buying this bag right now. Click here to purchase.
